First Breakfast, Second Breakfast (which was alive and well in German schools in the 80s when I lived there -- kids would pull out a roll with cheese or meat for it), Mittagessen, Kaffe, Abendbrot, and a late night snack( I don't know the name). But that's only six (and plenty). Thanks for writing about this topic -- very interesting.Kristen Fhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05724061202917213874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24170237.post-56106071153068152742010-03-08T19:36:30.066+10:002010-03-08T19:36:30.066+10:00My husband comes from a dairy farming background i...My husband comes from a dairy farming background in New Zealand. It is very common in this industry for the farmer and family helping do the milking to have a quick something at 5ish, to sustain them while they go out to milk and feed the cattle. Meanwhile someone, usually Mum, is in the farmhouse kitchen making a more substantial hot breakfast.Fayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13677166575196846260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24170237.post-22529550015874895312010-03-08T17:04:37.581+10:002010-03-08T17:04:37.581+10:00They are to be commended, Liz. They start with a cup of tea and buttered wheatmeal biscuit, then not much later have regular breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner. It wouldn't be hard to add supper if you stay up late.Liz + Loukahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11041957231286910198noreply@blogger.com
